DBHDD Commends Dr. Kevin Winders of Gateway CSB for “Best Psychiatrist” Honor in Connect Savannah’s 2025 Best of Savannah Awards
ATLANTA, GA – The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) Commissioner Kevin Tanner commends Dr. Kevin Winders of Gateway Community Service Board (CSB) for being named “Best Psychiatrist” for Connect Savannah’s 2025 Best of Savannah Awards.
“Dr. Winders represents the best of our behavioral health workforce in Georgia,” said DBHDD Commissioner Kevin Tanner. “We are grateful for his dedication to person-centered care and proud to celebrate this honor alongside our valued partners at Gateway CSB.”
This recognition reflects not only Dr. Winders’ clinical excellence, but also his deep commitment to compassionate, community-based care. As part of the public behavioral health system, Gateway CSB serves individuals across Coastal Georgia with skill and integrity—and Dr. Winders exemplifies the strength of that mission every day.
Gateway CSB is one of 22 community service boards across Georgia that deliver vital mental health, substance use, and developmental disability services in partnership with DBHDD. The Best of Savannah awards are based on public nominations and votes, making this a true community honor.
The 2025 winners were announced online by Connect Savannah on May 22, following a public voting process that spanned from January through March.
