Grand Opening of $12 million Town Center to benefit mental health and addictive disease consumers
BRUNSWICK, GA – Mental Health and Addictive Diseases consumers will benefit from a $12 million therapeutic community that will open Friday, March 26, 2010. The Coast Village Apartments will offer housing, treatment, and administrative facilities for homeless women and children who are recovering from substance abuse or mental illness. The festivities will begin at 11 a.m. at 500 Coastal Village Drive, Brunswick, GA 31520 (off exit 38 behind the Ole Buffet at Scranton Rd.). The event will be open to the public.
“Gateway Behavioral Health Services is a valued partner of the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) and this community,” said Charles Ringling, DBHDD Region 5 Coordinator. “We are excited to celebrate the first phase of Gateway Town Center. It certainly supports our department’s mission to create sustainable, self-sufficient and resilient living within the community.”
This is the first of three planned phases for the Gateway Town Center which will be housed on a 20 acre campus. Coastal Village Apartment has 24 units and will service as a multi-family housing development. For more information, please contact Ken Adkins at 912-222-9655.
