Constituent Services, Legislative Affairs
We are here to serve you!
The Office of Public Affairs in the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) serves as a liaison to consumers, families, advocates, and the general public for assistance with questions, problems or access to our services. It is also the primary point of contact for activities related to the Georgia General Assembly.
The DBHDD legislative team tracks and analyzes state and federal legislation that affect mental health, substance abuse and developmental disability services. The legislative team is responsible for ensuring the passage of the department’s annual legislative agenda. In addition, our team responds to legislative inquiries and informs legislators about DBHDD programs and services
