HST Job Summary
The Health Service Technician (HST) performs assigned direct care activities, basic nursing procedures and training for clients in an inpatient hospital setting. HSTs implement assigned parts of the individualized treatment plans and assist clients in learning daily living skills. They also participate in recreational and social activities and accompany clients to appointments and activities. HSTs also observe and document client behavior. The HST is an important part of the direct care team.

Part-Time Career Opportunities
Part-time (PRN) opportunities exist throughout the different units of our hospital. Work schedules are varied and depend on the hospital needs and staff availability.
CNA Students
Part-time job opportunities also exist for CNA students throughout our hospital. Students can gain valuable work experience by working as a Health Service Technician while attending school. We offer flexible schedules to accommodate the students’ class schedule.
