Call for Workshop Proposals: 13th Annual System of Care Academy Conference
The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Office of Children, Young Adults, and Families and the Georgia Interagency Directors Team are pleased to announce this Call for Workshop Proposals for the 2020 Georgia System of Care Academy. The 13th Annual Georgia System of Care Academy is scheduled for June 25-26, 2020 at the Atlanta Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort in Stone Mountain, Georgia. The theme this year is 2020 Vision: Starting Strong for the Next Decade.
Each year SOCA invites a robust group of workshop presenters to share their extensive knowledge and experience with our attendees. The SOCA planning committee is always seeking ways to improve our attendee’s experience and this year SOCA will offer four tracks therefore we are seeking specific workshop topics. The 2020 SOCA tracks are as follows: Leadership Development & Enhancements, System of Care Foundations, Direct Care Professionals and Clinical.

Proposal selection will be based on:
- Topic of relevance and/or relates to the core values of the system of care philosophy and/or conference theme
- Interactive educational experience (role play, pair & share, video, games, improv activities, hands-on demonstrations & exercises, etc)
- Objectives that include providing tangible tips and tools for participants
- All workshops must answer the question, “What next steps can I take to get the benefit of this information?”
