DBHDD Board & Councils

Board of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities
The Board of Georgia DBHDD establishes the general policy to be followed by the department. The nine-member board is appointed by the Governor, who designates the initial terms of the members of the board.

Georgia Behavioral Health Coordinating Council
The purpose and mission of the Council is to identify overlapping services regarding funding and policy issues in the behavioral health system.

DD Advisory Council
The role of the IDD Advisory Council is to advise DBHDD on matters relating to the care, services, and supports offered to people with intellectual/developmental disabilities served by the DBHDD.
