Board of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities
The Board of Georgia DBHDD establishes the general policy to be followed by the department. The nine-member board is appointed by the Governor. The Governor designates the initial terms of the members of the board.
Georgia Behavioral Health Coordinating Council
The purpose and mission of the Council is to identify overlapping services regarding funding and policy issues in the behavioral health system.
Developmental Disabilities Advisory Council
The purpose of the council is to advise the department on matters relating to the care and service of people with developmental disabilities served by the department.
Human Rights Council
The council is an advisory review body formed to ensure the protection of health and human rights of persons with developmental disabilities.
